Protect Data at the Endpoint. Stop Leakage at the Network.

Discover. Monitor. Prevent sensitive data leakage across endpoints, networks, cloud and storage.

Somansa provides a layered Data Leak Prevention (DLP) platform designed to protect confidential, personal and business-critical information wherever it resides or moves. Its portfolio combines Privacy-i Endpoint DLP with Mail-i Network DLP, extending protection from the user's device to data moving outside the organization's network.

Privacy-i works directly on endpoints through an agent, monitoring and controlling sensitive-data activities such as copying to USB/removable media, printing, application transfers, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and other supported channels. It can also discover and classify sensitive information stored on endpoints.

Mail-i protects data in motion at the network layer. It can inspect outbound traffic including Email, IM, FTP, HTTP/HTTPS and Cloud Services, using packet and protocol analysis to identify sensitive information before it leaves the organization's network. Depending on network architecture, it can be deployed to inspect outbound traffic through inline or indirect proxy designs.

This layered approach gives organizations visibility and control at two critical points: where data is being used and where data is leaving the organization.

Somansa Enterprise Data Leak Prevention

Somansa Data Leak Prevention combines Endpoint DLP and Network DLP to discover, monitor and prevent sensitive data leakage across endpoints, email, web and cloud.

Why Somansa

Endpoint + Network DLP

Protect information at the endpoint while simultaneously inspecting outbound network traffic.

Discover Sensitive Data

Locate and classify personal, confidential and business-sensitive information across supported endpoints and repositories.

Control Data Movement

Apply policy-based controls to USB, printing, applications, network transfer, email, cloud and other supported channels.

Protect Data in Motion

Mail-i analyzes outbound traffic and helps prevent sensitive information from leaving the organization through supported protocols and services.

Centralized Management

Manage policies, alerts and reports through a centralized web-based management console.

Built for Compliance

Protect PII, PHI, financial information and other sensitive content while supporting broader privacy and compliance initiatives such as GDPR, PCI-DSS and HIPAA.

How It Works

From Endpoint Activity to Network Exit — Data Is Protected Throughout the Journey

1. User accesses sensitive information
A user opens, edits or copies a confidential document.

2. Privacy-i evaluates the activity
Endpoint policies identify the data, user, device and activity.

3. User attempts to transfer the data
For example, to USB, printing, cloud storage or an application.

4. Network traffic reaches Mail-i
Outbound traffic is inspected where network DLP protection is deployed.

5. DLP policy is applied
Allow, monitor, alert or prevent according to organizational policy.

6. Security team gets visibility
Events, alerts, evidence and reports are available through centralized management.

This is where Somansa becomes particularly relevant for organizations that require both Endpoint DLP and Network DLP.

Somansa DLP Architecture

Two Layers of Protection. One Data Security Strategy.

Privacy-i

Endpoint Data Leak Prevention

Agent-based protection directly on desktops, laptops, servers and supported devices.

Monitor → Discover → Prevent

Controls sensitive-data activities such as USB copying, printing, application transfers and other endpoint channels.

Mail-i

Network Data Leak Prevention

Protects sensitive information in motion before it leaves the organization's network.

Inspect → Detect → Control

Monitors supported outbound traffic including Email, IM, FTP, HTTP/HTTPS and Cloud Services using packet and protocol analysis.

Privacy-i Cloud

Cloud-Based Endpoint DLP

Extends endpoint data protection through a cloud-based management and protection architecture.
