Out-of-Office auto-responder? Don’t reveal too much
We’ve been writing a lot about why you shouldn’t tip criminals on your whereabouts.
Don’t check in on social networks when you’re on holidays, no matter how beautiful the landscape is. Your frenemies will still be envy if you post those photos after you get back home.
Don’t write on your blog bragging about the wonderful places you’ll see. Write after you experienced them and you’re already back home.
And we’re adding a new advice to this list: watch out what you write in the out-of-office auto-responder. Make sure that you don’t give away too much information through your work email.

Things like when you expect to be
back and an alternative contact information in case of an urgency are more than
enough.
